On Sunday The Band Boutique attended its first wedding fair at Norman Court in Salisbury.
What a lovely building! And the grounds were pretty stunning too. We were set up in the ‘Dining room’ . I think we had the best spot as we were next to ‘Beverley’s Creative Cakes’, and Beverley was kind enough to let us nibble away at her cake samples all day! When I first arrived I was excited to see a stall with vintage style wedding dresses and accessories. The company running it was ‘Calm amongst the Chaos’ and I had a nice little chat with Frances, the owner. Her dresses were displayed later in the afternoon in a fashion show which took place down the grand staircase. (I felt sorry for the models having to come down in their high heels!).
Each of Frances’ dresses are based on glamorous movie stars from different era’s and made of luxurious fabrics with beautiful embellishments and embroidery. If you’ve got a 1920’s, 30’s, 40’s or 50’s wedding theme you are sure to find the perfect dress here. Have a look at http://www.calmamongstthechaos.co.uk/ for more information.
And I mustn’t forget to mention the reason we were at the wedding fair in the first place… to promote ‘Mister Kanish’! One of The Band Boutique’s top rock and pop function bands.
